Wanderhoof is a Uroxi worshipper you can get in your clan if you completely destroy a hidden Chaos shrine found on the map. It takes many trips to destroy this shrine, and low end offense explorers have a harder time with destroying it.
When you finally do destroy it, a band of Uroxi will praise you and a member named Wanderhoof will offer to join your clan if you don’t have a Uroxi character in your potential clan members.
(Most male pictures can be your potential Wanderhoof character)
Most of Wanderhoof's stats are Good rated with Combat being low Excellent and his Magic being Very Good. He’s somewhat meh without some effort.
(Derenth the Trickster)
Now enter my Chaos Eurmal chief run clan. People talk a lot about Chaos giving bad deals. But let me tell you, some of their deals are actually pretty sweet. You can see some of the deals here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SixAges/comments/16et84n/notes_on_chaos_deals_and_tricks/
Wanderhoof seems to have no idea he will be joining a clan of Chaos embracing Trickster jerks the rest of the valley pretty much hates and mocks.
So why did my Chaos deal making clan of jerks seek out this Uroxi warrior? Well the truth is Chaos Threat was showing up more frequently and was getting harder to get rid of. For awhile my Heroic Humakti Kerenna was Scouring Chaos just fine. But after several years it suddenly was being elusive every attempt, while Chaos Threat condition remained present. So knowing Uroxi’s are supposed to be good at Scouring Chaos, I thought “Maybe we can recruit Wanderhoof to solve this issue.”
And to be clear, this Eurmal chief clan will not use that lame Elmal protection against Dislike or protection from loss of Respect blessing. No get out of jail free for 10 years garbage. Any Elmal blessing but those two. Don’t tell me your running an Eurmal led clan if your just going to have Elmal wash away the Hates and Mocks. If you wash those away yourself, I can respect that.
Anyway Wanderhoof, my clan had the clairvoyance to seek out your services. So please start Scouring for Chaos for us.
First year goes by, he can’t find the Chaos to Scour. Ok, maybe next time. Nope. A 3rd time maybe? Still can’t find the Chaos. How about a fourth time's result?:
"Wanderhoof spent several seasons looking around for signs of Chaos. He stepped onto a giant gorp that had been covered with dead leaves, and was nearly completely digested before his followers could pull out his remains. 4 were wounded in the rescue attempt."
RIP
Wanderhoof who accidentally wandered into gorp goop. I
really just had to laugh at poor Wanderhoof’s
demise. I
was counting on his help only to see him wander into gorp goop.
But on my Trickster clan had to go. And you know what, at some point Korenna or someone else finally found the Chaos to elimate the Chaos Threat state. Safer exploration again!
Now you can get away with using Chaos if you get Urox or possibly his Uroxi to scour you. We did not do that.(or know that)
What ends up happening without a cleansing is mass kinstrife at the end. There are basically 2 factions in your clan. The royalists vs the realists. Whoever is in the minority, kills the majority off. You can then only select from the minority of characters left in the endgame.
No matter what I did, swapping leadership, and watching a few characters switch sides, my Trickster chief/ex chief still got killed.
I was pretty disappointed to get that far as a realist trickster. Especially because a previous trickster playthrough had actually been a royalist and failed at this. But what could my realist chief do if the people are still going to keep turning against him?
I restored my last clan year wondering, and in come these heros.
(Swaggering Skeletons or sometimes Sauntering Skeletons)
You
might recall these fellows as "Skeletons [who] swagger into your
wildlands." to have their head Skeleton challenge
Korestene
to a duel.
Well,
they're back! This time with an offering to kill us before
the end of the world:
"Skeletons saunter into your wildlands to make an offer."We have noticed that your demise will be inglorious. Surely instead of falling prey to Krarsht tricks, you would prefer to be extinguished by us, the unstoppable Undead Army. Yes, humans, the Undead Army, commanded by Wakboth himself. Say the word and we will see to it that the Devil grants you a fitting demise.""
A glorious end. And so I agreed to their offer. The end of the world comes and instead of mass kin strife, these maginificent bastards killed most of my clan off, but not my Trickster Chief! My heros! Oh sure reweaving the world is special, but being able to restore your world is just as important.
By
restoring the world, my Trickster chief tricked his way out of being
murdered
in kin strife, and went on to save the world even if he truly
didn’t deserve to.
